A Michigan Lottery player is well on their way to a life-changing year after winning a $842.4 million Powerball jackpot on Monday night. The jackpot has a cash value of $425.2 million.
The winning ticket was sold Monday night at a Food Castle store in Grand Blanc, Michigan.
Monday’s $842.4 million jackpot is the fifth-largest Powerball jackpot ever won and the tenth-largest jackpot won in U.S. Lottery history.
The jackpot also is the second-largest Lottery jackpot ever won in Michigan. A $1.05 billion Mega Millions jackpot won in January 2021 holds the record for the largest jackpot won in Michigan.
