Kenan Thompson Reveals Kel Mitchell Auditioned For "Saturday Night Live"

Kenan Thompson stopped by The Breakfast Club and revealed some pretty interesting information about his former co-star Kel Mitchel from "All That" and "Kenan & Kel". The relationship between the two former Nickelodeon stars has always been a topic of interest as there were rumored to not be speaking for some time. Gladly all those rumors have been put to rest as within the past couple of years as the two reunited years ago for a classic "Good Burger" sketch on "The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon" as well as both appearing on Nick Cannon's "Wild N' Out" for a mini "All That" reunion.

As for being in the spotlight, Kenan seemed to find his niche with "Saturday Night Live", now being the longest-running cast member on the show with a whopping 15 seasons! Kel on the other hand eventually found his way back to Nickelodeon working on multiple projects with the company such as "Game Shakers" which is still currently airing on the network.

In his interview with The Breakfast Club Charlamagne Tha God asked Kenan "You and Kel always been cool though, yall never had a falling out did you?". Kenan responded talking about how after the show (Kenan and Kell) ended people were trying to lump them together and they really wanted people to appreciate them for being the individuals they are. He then revealed that they both had auditioned for "Saturday Night Live" but Kel didn't get the gig. According to Kenan, Kel didn't make it past the first audition and then followed up by saying "aw man I guess they didn't appreciate that brother at the moment, but now he jumped back on Nickelodeon and is back on the rise."

In the end, it all seemed to work out for the two former co-stars and we're happy to hear that they still remain friends. He'res hoping we still get a "Good Burger 2"...
