Kanye West is going gospel... maybe. *insert praise hands here*

According to 112 singer Slim, the "I Love It" rapper may be on a completely different wave in 2019. While on TMZ Live Monday (January 21), the "Peaches & Cream" singer hinted that he may be working on a Christian music collab with Ye. While Slim didn't go into specifics, he did say the two spoke about Ye's current involvement in the church and how to draw the youth to the word of God through music. "You can take music that's going on right now and you change it, and you put the lord, Jesus, make it Christian. And it kinda draws the youth to church," Slim explained. "It makes church cool."

As for if the two have any concrete plans to make a Christian album, or release a few gospel tracks, Slim said it's all in God's hands. "Kanye being a musical genius, he'll do an album and then scrap it," he admitted. "I'm not the type of person to say, okay this is what he's gonna do or this is what we're gonna do because whatever happens it's something that God wanted to happen. I'll just say it like this. He's in a real good place. We were talking about more things that were spiritual."

Ye going the gospel route wouldn't be a complete stretch. Not only has he released a few God-centered tracks — "Father Stretch Out My Hands," and "Jesus Walks" — he's also recently started a hosting a weekly Sunday performance, which he's deemed "Sunday Service," where he performs a number of songs with a choir. During his second Sunday Service on January 22, Ye even performed gospel renditions of a few of his classic tracks.
