The 62nd GRAMMY Awards are finally here! Thousands of music professionals— including recording artists, songwriters, producers and engineers have participated in the voting process to decide who will be nominated for the prestigious awards.

Lizzo, 8 nominations

Lizzo leads this list with a grand total of eight nominations. Upon learning about her nods, the “Truth Hurts” singer took to Twitter to share her gratitude, tweeting "THIS HAS BEEN AN INCREDIBLE YEAR FOR MUSIC AND IM JUST SO THANKFUL TO EVEN BE PART OF IT. I LOVE YOU. LETS HAVE A WONDERFUL BLESSED DAY." Lizzo is nominated in all four General Field categories (Record Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Best New Artist). Though "Truth Hurts" was first released in 2017, the song did not chart until September 2019, marking its eligibility for the GRAMMY Award this year. It became Lizzo's first No. 1.
Billie Eilish, 6 nominations

The 18-year-old singer made GRAMMY Awards history as the youngest artist to earn nominations in the academy's top four categories. She is also nominated alongside Lizzo for Best New Artist. The breakout star initially slept through the nominations. Once she had woken up a bit, the magnitude of the awards hit her. “I mean, the Grammys is the Grammys. As cool as everything else is, it’s like, the Grammys,” the “bad guy” singer told Jimmy Kimmel.
Lil Nas X, 6 nominations

Lil Nas X made waves last year with his breakthrough single, “Old Town Road”. After a record-breaking 19 weeks at No. 1, this GRAMMY first-timer has earned six nods this year, including Album of The Year for his EP, 7. He will be performing his hit song alongside Billy Ray Cyrus, K-Pop superstars BTS, Diplo, Mason Ramsey and some surprise guests.
FINNEAS, 5 nominations

FINNEAS has earned five nominations, sharing three with his sister, Billie. His solo nominations include Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical and Producer of the Year, Non-Classical. Reacting to the nominations, he took to social media to post a photo of Billie with the caption, "The acknowledgement of our songs and production and of Billie's incredible voice, means to me, the acknowledgement and celebration of creative control being firmly left in the hands of the artist.”
Ariana Grande, 5 nominations

Ariana celebrates five nominations after a big year, with seven of her singles hitting No. 1 on the charts. In 2019, the “7 Rings” singer won her first GRAMMY for Best Pop Vocal Album, despite not attending the event due to reported disagreements with producers. The differences seem to be a thing of the past, as the starlet is slated to perform on Sunday night and for the first time, the pop titan is nominated for Record Of The Year and Album Of The Year.
H.E.R., 5 nominations

2019 Best New Artist winner, H.E.R. also received five nominations this year, including Best R&B Performance. The R&B singer is nominated for Album of The Year for the second consecutive year in a row. "I did not think the second time I would be nominated for five. That makes it 10 nominations in two years, which is kind of unheard of. I feel really special and grateful,” she admits to Billboard.
