Detroit old DPD headquarters going to be redevelop

DetroitFreePress -

I'm so happy for the new renovations that's been brought to downtown Detroit. For Dan Gilbert to have this type of idea to redevelop and reuse the old Detroit Police headquarters is huge for Detroit. According to Detroit Free Press Detroit police opened 1300 Beaubien in 1922. The department vacated the building in 2013 for its current headquarters at Third Avenue and Howard Street. The old headquarters has remained vacant since the move.

I believe the idea in all these renovations is to make the city of Detroit more modern. If you take a look at downtown now you'll see a lot of old buildings. but I say in the year of 2021, the city would be more modern. More and More creations and rebuilding of downtown would bring more jobs to the city, perfect example was the idea of building the Little Caesars Arena. Now since the old police headquarters is on the schedule to get redevelop, lets see what opportunities come with it.
