High Graduation Rates In The State of Michigan

According to WXYZ, The 2016-2017 school year graduation rate increased slightly by 0.53 percent from the 2015-2016 school year.

"This is the first time the statewide four-year graduation rate has surpassed 80 percent since we started calculating rates by cohorts eleven years ago," said CEPI Director Tom Howell. "This increase is in line with how the statewide graduation rate has been trending gradually upward."

This makes me proud to see Detroit Public Schools have made the list of school districts to have high graduation rates. For some people it's hard to finish school. Some people don't even like school, so to finish high school is amazing. especially in Detroit.

We need to put our resources back in our schools and Detroit Public Schools need to be great again. We also need to get our athletic program back strong too. we used to have some of the best sports programs in our public schools. Hopefully we can make that happen.

For all the future students who's going to high school remember, high school is the most important start. Think future wise.
