A shooting has left four people dead, including a child, and all over a stimulus check.

According to Fox 59, the accident happened in Indianapolis over the weekend when a man by the name of Malik Halfacre approached Jeanettrius Moore, a mother of two. Halfacre, previously had a relationship with Moore and both share a daughter.

Moore’s cousin, Wendy Johnson told Fox news that Halfacre “wanted some of Jeanettrius’ tax money, stimulus money. “She had just got her money, and he wanted half of her money" because of their daughter.

Based on the information given to Fox 59 the ex-couple got into a heated argument. Johnson told Fox 59 the conversation her cousin and Halfacre had:

“She said, ‘No, you don’t deserve any of this. I work. I take care of our child. You don’t do anything.’
“He said, ‘I really want half.’
“She said, ‘I’ll give you 450. Take it or leave it.’
“He said, ‘I’m gonna get that money.’

Then on Saturday night (March 13), Halfacre went over Moore's house once again and got into yet another argument with her. However, little did Moore know this would take an ugly turn.

During the altercation with Moore, Halfacre got aggravated and shot four people who were in the house during that time. All of which were later identified as Moore’s 7-year-old daughter, Eve, her 23-year-old brother, Daquan, her 44-year-old mother, Tomeeka Brown, and her 35-year-old cousin Anthony Johnson.

Moore was also wounded during the confrontation but is now in stable condition. As for Halfacre, the police took him into custody.

Such a sad and unfortunately story and all over some money.

RIP to those who were killed.
