R. Kelly is facing another investigation in Georgia after the airing of Lifetime TV's documentary "Surviving R. Kelly".  Not the news the singer would expect to hear on his birthday.

The six-part docuseries gave multiple women the platform to describe allegations of abuse, predatory behavior and pedophilia against R. Kelly.

Fulton County District Attorney's Office reportedly opened an investigation into the allegations made against the singer in Surviving R. Kelly shortly after the first episode aired on Lifetime Thursday (January 3). The office was also reportedly flooded with calls from people with their own stories, which is said to have also encouraged them to begin their investigation.

Gerald Griggs, an attorney for the family of Joycelyn Savage, one of the women featured in "Surviving R. Kelly," said the Fulton County District Attorney reached out to Griggs a few days ago, after the show aired - according to CNN.

Griggs said the Fulton County DA is conducting an investigation into Kelly.

Griggs said he was asked to provide a list of witnesses in regards to events that allegedly took place in Kelly's house in the northern Atlanta suburb of Johns Creek in 2017.
