Pistons dish 37 Assist In Win Over Knicks, 122-102

Pistons get a much-needed win over a struggling New York team, on "Hoops For Troops" night at Little Caesars Arena. The game featured an Army veteran singing the national anthem, military recognitions, a game ball presentation by the highest ranking military officer in Michigan, and a half-time show by the Army's Silent Drill Team.

With three guards out with injury (Jackson, Rose, and Frazier), Pistons head coach Dwane Casey keep finding ways for his team to produce successful offensive consistently. Detroit dished out a season-high 37 dimes tonight, marking the team's most assist since Feb. 16, 2006 vs Minnesota. "That was one of the things going into tonight, moving the ball and passing the ball", said Pistons Head Coach Casey after the game. "Thirty-seven assist is huge, and that is something we went into the game wanting to do - was move the basketball".

Pistons' Tony Snell finished with 24 points (9-9 FG, 6-6 3FG) to go along with one rebound, two assist, and one steal. Snell 's perfect shooting game makes him the first Piston to ever make at least six 3-pointers and shoot 1.000 from the field, and the ninth player in NBA history to accomplish that feat. "That was bound to come, we been telling Tony to shoot since the beginning of the season, ever since we got him", Pistons center Andre Drummond said after the game. Andre totaled 27 points, 12 rebounds, and a season-high 7 assist, and 1 steal.
