I know what your thinking. Is she serious??? Well, yes I am serious and what your reading is true. I have a 6 year old son named Carter whom i love and cherish deeply and while this may sound crazy let me let you know my reasoning for this. So, as we all know, we are all quarantined in the house to try to stop the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). Right now, more than ever we really need to follow the rules that our government has put it place so that we can return back to life as we all know it.
Carter, goes with dad every other weekend and loves spending time with his dad. Carter and dad love to play video games, play basketball, and ride 4 wheeler's together. I love the relationship that Carter has with dad. Corona virus appeared in Michigan last week and the virus has spread like a wildfire even taking the lives of many. Fast forward to this week and the governor of Michigan has ordered a state-wide shelter in place. As of today, Michigan reports nearly 5,500 total coronavirus cases and 133 deaths across the state.
I know there's a lot of families that co-parent and with the statewide shutdown as parents we've decided to keep carter with mom to avoid him leaving out of the house. Carter and dad facetime all day long "literally" but as parents we want to do what is best for our son. When this is all over carter will go and spend time with dad to make up for the time missed due to quarantine.
Great job to all of the families co-parenting during the COVID-19 shutdown. Following the rules of the government so that we can all get back to our normal schedule and lives!!!
