During Kanye West's first 'Donda' listening party, fans speculated stating the album sounded unfinished. Well, it seems it was actually rushed in order to be sure Drake and his 'Certified Lover Boy' album didn't "one up him."

According to legendary rock musician Todd Rundgren, who worked on the majority of the Donda album, Kanye wanted to get his album out as quickly as possible so he could drop it before Drake’s 'CLB.'

In an interview with Ultimate Classic Rock Rundgren stated: “My involvement went on for a year, I realized why they hurriedly wrapped the whole thing up and put out what is obviously really raw, unprocessed stuff,” he said. “It’s because Drake was running the whole process. He was too afraid that Drake would one-up him, so he hurried up and released the album the weekend before Drake could get his out. And in the end, Drake ate his lunch anyway.”

The legend went on to say he 'eventually came to the realization that West is a shoe designer. ... He's just a dilettante at this point.' - A dilettante is a person having a superficial interest in an art or a branch of knowledge.

He continued: 'Nobody would regularly make records like that unless they had stupid money to throw around. Nobody rents a stadium to make a record in.' Thus, pointing out Kanye living in Mercedes Benz Stadium following his first listening party.

'Nobody flies in the entire world of hip-hop just to croak one syllable, just so you can say that everybody was on it.'

He has a point. Damn near everyone is on the album! Thoughts?
