Parents left 3 kids in a car while they went into a store and a man saw an opportunity to take the car and when I tell you it was the worst mistake and his last mistake. according to CNN A man who's name was Erik Hood and was 54 years old took a car with 3 kids in it on Thursday night. Now the police said the parents chased down the man on foot and caught up to the car,pulled Hood out of the vehicle. The jacker hit the father and took off running but didn't get too far because a large group of people got wind of what was going on and took the matter into their own hands and beat the car-jacker to death. Hood was pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital.
Philadelphia Police Capt. Jason Smith says he don't agree with street justice on Friday at a press conference. He feels that the police work should be left to them. The police are going over video footage to see all those that were involved in the incident but so far no arrests have been made yet.
Good thing the 3 kids were not hurt in this incident but there's a chance their mother could face charges for leaving the kids in a car that was running and unattended. I know a lot of people don't think it can't happen to them or they may feel that they can make a fast move and run in the store real quick and leave the kids in the running car because they don't feel like taking the kids in with them.Its not a good idea because it can happen to anyone in a blink of an eye. So to keep the kids safe take the time to bring them in with you no matter how many kids you have,had bad you may say they acted or how short of time you think you're gonna be in the store,its just not worth the risk.
