Affordable Housing Expo to Spotlight Awareness, Advocacy, and Action
Community event to be held October 19, 2025, from 12:15–2:30 p.m.
The First United Methodist Church of South Lyon announced today that it will host an Affordable Housing Expo on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 12:15 to 2:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 640 S. Lafayette, South Lyon, Michigan. This community-focused event will bring together residents, advocates, and leaders to address the urgent need for affordable housing and highlight pathways to action.
The Expo will feature informational sessions, advocacy opportunities, and resources for individuals and families impacted by the housing crisis. Participants will hear from housing experts, nonprofit organizations, and community members working on the frontlines of affordable housing initiatives.
Housing is more than a roof over our heads — it is the foundation for strong, safe, and healthy communities. This Expo is about raising awareness, building advocacy, and inspiring collective action to ensure affordable housing is a reality for everyone.
The event will provide tools for attendees to get involved in policy change, community programs, and direct advocacy efforts. Local housing organizations and service providers will also share resources designed to support those seeking affordable housing solutions.
This event is free and open to the public.
