Metro Detroit area music fans were buzzing with support after Inkster native J Reed performed his hit single "Love Me" on Fox 2 Detroit's morning show, "The Nine".

Its Reed's second television performance after introducing the song to the world via daytime's nationally syndicated tv show, "The Real", in Los Angeles, California.

The hometown fan support is real too. From cell phone notifications pilling-up with screenshots of Reeds performance, to text messages expressing how proud they felt to witness the moment.

Reed felt his performance on "The Real" was because of an collaborative effort of Michigan fans wanting to see more of their artist in the national spotlight. Fans were asked to vote for him and myself (Dr Darrius), against 5 major cities for a chance to perform live on the show.

On The Nine, Reed was interviewed by host Allan Longstreet who instantly became a fan of Reed's music while preparing for the interview. After a brief conversation about J Reed's opportunity to perform on "The Real", Longstreet also highlighted Reed's engagement to his fiance, and how he coined 'The Community Artist'.
