After 15 "Hard Rock" years in downtown Detroit, the Hard Rock Café is scheduled to close it's doors Jan. 26, 2019, owner Hard Rock International said Wednesday.

"The brand remains committed to the city and is open to having another location within the market, if the right space can be identified," the statement continued.

Did the Hard rock Café's lease end? The Rock ’n’ roll-themed chain restaurant is located in One Campus Martius area, owned in part by Dan Gilbert's real estate firm, Bedrock - who wouldn't discuss any details of Hard Rock's lease.

"The space that Hard Rock Café will soon vacate is one of the handful of top-notch, premium locations for a restaurant/retailer in all of downtown Detroit, and is in the heart of the burgeoning and exciting urban core of the Motor City," Gilbert said in a statement. "There is strong demand from several impressive national and local brands for this Campus Martius-facing and Woodward Avenue-facing street-level location."

What Detroit or Motown themed restaurant would you suggest for that space?

Aretha's??? LOL
