Massive 5-Foot Pothole on Ramp Shuts Down Southfield Freeway

The Michigan Department of Transportation shut down the Southfield's freeway southbound ramp to eastbound I-96 due to a 5-foot-hole. MDOT blames cold temperatures for the road closure and stated that the temperature affected the "cure time" of the concrete to repair the hole.

The ramp was closed for more than 3-hours, has since reopened at about 10:20 a.m.
