Cardi B has announced a new song called "Press."
On Memorial Day (May 27), the rapper unveiled promo material on Instagram for her next single, dropping this Friday (May 31). "PRESS SINGLE AND OFFICIAL ART WORK DROPS THIS WEEK ON 5/31!!!" Cardi wrote on Instagram, along with an image depicting the emcee inside a courthouse dressed in a leopard-print outfit, butterfly shades, and striking a mean mug while in handcuffs.
In case you're wondering, the artwork appears to channel an infamous photo of serial killer Aileen Wuornos, which Cardi also shared on her Twitter account in announcing the record. Wuornos murdered seven men in Florida in the span of a single year, shooting them at point-blank range, reportedly in self-defense.
Another fun fact pertaining to the tune: you may have already heard it before. Cardi teased "Press" with a video clip from the studio back in December. In the snippet, the star raps about not being stressed for more publicity: "Press, press, press, press, press / Cardi don’t need more press."
"Press" will be Cardi's first solo single release of 2019. She previously appeared on Bruno Mars' sexy, seductive jam "Please Me" back in February, which debuted at No. 5 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and with a music video amassing more than 200 million views. She also hopped on Blueface's insanely catchy "Thotiana Remix" and has a feature on her husband Offset's new album for their clout chasing clap back anthem "Clout."
