Michigan State Police Cracking Down On Aggressive Driving Along I-94

City Of Detroit Teeters On Bankruptcy As State Audits Its Finances

Michigan State Police will began enforcing a new campaign targeting aggressive driving along I-94 freeway.

Starting Monday the campaign, Ticketing Aggressive Cars and Trucks (TACT), will focus on aggressive driving by passenger vehicles and commercial drivers along I-94 between Jackson and Taylor.

“Crashes between commercial motor vehicles and passenger vehicles often result in serious and fatal injuries,” said Dr. Daniel Blower, chair of the Michigan Truck Safety Commission. “The TACT campaign focuses on enforcement and education efforts for both car and truck drivers to reduce crashes, fatalities and serious injuries. There will be zero tolerance for aggressive driving.”

Officers will be watching for violations such as improper lane use, careless and reckless driving, failure to yield right-of-way, following too closely and speeding. All moving violations that'll send your insurance premium through the roof, so slow down.
