Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant confirmed his successful surgery for an Achilles tear after the injury led to his exit from Game 5 of the NBA Finals. The 6"9 Durant posted a picture to his instagram account recovering in a hospital bed.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said Durant had been cleared to play in Game 5 by outside consultants after a calf injury, adding, "would we go back and do it over again? Damn right."
