Reports of Kanye West bringing his 'Sunday Service' event to Detroit this upcoming weekend has been floating around Motown for the past few days. According to my sources, this is definitely happening on Sunday at an undisclosed location. The services are typically free, announced on short notice, and feature a massive sing-along with a mix of traditional hymns and pop songs.
Although there's a call-out for local soprano, tenor, and alto singers to register for a noon rehearsal on Friday - I wouldn't be surprised if West enlist our Detroit Youth Choir for a special performance.
Until then, I guess I'll get dressed Sunday morning, drive around and wait for a tweet - then rush the door. Just kidding, but definitely a good look for Detroit.
