The Detroit Central High School Alumni Organization (DCHSAO) is sponsoring the Central High School (CHS) 2058 Time Capsule Project. We are collecting letters and small token items that reflect what life was like for alumni, students, teachers and staff members during their years at CHS.
CHS, the first public high school in the city of Detroit, opened it's doors on August 15, 1858. To commemorate Central High School 200th Anniversary, the time capsule will be opened in August 2058.
The CHS 2058 Time Capsule will be entombed at the Wayne State University, Walter P. Reuther Library. To have your letter or token placed in the CHS 2058 Time Capsule, please submit via:
