Flood Warnings were in-effect through Wednesday night along the entire Tittabawassee River in Midland county. About 11,000 residents were evacuated in the US state of Michigan after two dams, Edenville and Sanford, collapsed following days of heavy rain. One of the dams had its licensed revoked in 2018 — one of 19 rated unsatisfactory.One Midland Michigan resident describe the flooding as someone, "pulling the plug from a bathtub full of water."

How does a privately owned dam have it's license revoked and who's responsible to fix them?

Governor Gretchen Whitmer has requested federal aid to help respond to the historic flood crisis, while President Trump has promised to visit the state to inspect the damage caused.
