The Great Lakes' newest and largest cruise ship made its first port stop in Detroit yesterday, before continuing its voyage to Milwaukee. The newly built 665-foot Viking Octantis cruise ship sails on a eight-day expedition for the "Niagara and The Great Lakes" tour. Detroit is featured 4th on the port-to-port itinerary. The ship docked alongside the Detroit International Riverfront from 7:00AM - 2:00PM, giving passengers an opportunity to disembark and explore the city for a few hours. The cruise then heads north to Alpena, followed by Mackinac Island, and then Milwaukee where the cruise will conclude.
These ships can accommodate 378 guests in 189 staterooms.
