Being conveniently located to one of the best medical facilities in the country is a huge factor that drives people to move to a certain area.
Proximity to a hospital with great ratings provides peace of mind should one ever find themselves in need of top-notch medical care.
While there are a handful of Michigan hospitals named among the best in the U.S., one is raked higher than all the rest.
According to a list compiled by Newsweek, the best hospital in Michigan for 2025 is University of Michigan Health in Ann Arbor.
Other Michigan hospitals on the list include Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital in West Bloomfield, and Chelsea Hospital in Chelsea, to name only a few.
Here's what Newsweek had to say about compiling the data to discover the best hospitals across the country for the coming year:
"This year's rankings include facilities in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The rankings were compiled using quality metrics from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the AHA Annual Survey of Hospitals Database, a nationwide online survey among medical professionals, results from HCAHPS patient experience surveys and a voluntary PROMs (Patient-Reported Outcome Measures) implementation survey."
