Cam'ron finally got his lick back amid his hilarious beef with actor Omar Gooding.
On Tuesday, August 12, the rapper-turned-sports broadcaster became CEO for a day at REVOLT TV, where he launched the premiere of his new talk show "Talk With Flee." In his latest episode, Cam'ron explained how he escalated his beef with Gooding by booking his opp for a movie that doesn't exist.
"I booked that n***a for $7,500 to do a movie for three weeks," Cam said. "He said I didn't. So you know what I did? I booked the n***a to do a movie that's never coming out."
According to Flee, the beef started after Cam mistakenly referred to the actor as "Omar Gooding, Jr." — because of his brother Cuba Gooding, Jr.— while talking about B-class actors who don't get paid much. Gooding got offended and made three diss tracks about him. Instead of firing back with his own diss track, Cam'ron said he decided to take another route.
Cam said he previously booked him for his 2014 movie, called Percentage, executive produced by Queen Latifah, and paid him $7,500 for three weeks. Gooding allegedly denied it and claimed he "would never do that" and argued he "gets way more money than that."
That's when Cam decided to book his opp for another film. Cam said he knows somebody who knows somebody who knows Gooding. He told his contact to book Gooding for $3,000, which is more than half his asking price of $1,200. Cam said he paid for Gooding's flight and hotel so that the actor could film a scene in Miami. Gooding accepted the deal, signed the paperwork and filmed the scene all without knowing that the movie was phony.
"So everybody's gonna see Omar Gooding right now in a minute shooting a scene for a movie that's never coming out because I was bored. I didn't have nothing else to do."
Omar Gooding's scene is set to drop on "Talk With Flee" at 5 p.m. today. Look out for the scene and listen to Gooding's diss tracks for Cam'ron below.
