Grind Mode is back with a brand-new music video for their beloved track "I'm So High," and they're dedicating it to the day-one fans from their hometown.
The Miami-based trio debuted the new visuals on Sunday, August 10, shortly after the 17th anniversary of their breakthrough song. "I'm So High" dropped in 2008. Chaos, McKlezie, and Hunger shot the original music video in Los Angeles and released it that same year. As the song garnered more popularity over the years, Grind Mode said they had received requests from fans who wanted a more homegrown video for the song.
"Miami wanted us to shoot a version here," Chaos told 103.5 The Beat. "We thought we'd give 'em a gift before the summer is over."
"It's very important that we gave back to the city of Miami," Mcklezie said. "They brewed this. They made this record what it is, gave us an opportunity to travel the world so our biggest regret is the fact that we shot the first video in California so this is our chance to amend that."
Directed by Gold Rush of Gold Label Films, Grind Mode rallied up a slew of dancers from the 305 to show off their moves in front of a laundromat in Dade County. They also shot some of the video at Audio Vision Studios in North Miami. The video also features cameos from fellow Miami artists like Grimass, Mecca a.k.a Grimo, and Desloc Piccalo.
"All our supporters asked for this," Hunger said. "They asked for a visual over and over. We here it is. We appreciate y'all because without y'all there is no us."
