“I’m really excited, Love Flint. I’m so excited for the water bottles,” says Jaden Smith. Smith returned to Flint with his mom, Jada Pinkett-Smith over the weekend to introduce the new portable water filtration system. The Water Box goes through four stages of filtration to reduce potential contaminants and Smith wants to help the water crisis in Flint.
The Launch of the Water Box for Flint, is bring major attention to the City of Flint. Jaden Pinkett-Smith says, “We are not going to forget about Flint.” According to Flint Mayor Karen Wear, “ They haven’t! Partnership throughout the City of Detroit have support and reach to other communities to rebuild the water filtration system. With Pinkett-Smith announcing that she will donate money to the Water Box, many residents believe it will be help.residents Henry Flowers said, "I think it will help, because you can get your own jug. Get a gallon. Any empty bottle will do.”
