With Ziggy Ansah injured, Pressure Could Fall on Dwight Freeney

Freeney, who the Lions claimed off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks, played 17 snaps last week against the Baltimore Ravens. Although the Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin said the defense didn't deliver enough pressure to the passer, Austin thinks Freeney did okay. Playing in the game, Freeney said he felt good. The defensive end tells the Detroit Free Press, "Obviously, it’s an adjustment because you get in there and you don’t really know much so you’re more worried about getting lined up right rather than feeling the game the way that you normally feel it, I think that's just part of the process. But I felt pretty good, though. My body felt good."

I believe Dwight Freeney is still good at what he do even at an old age, he for sure should get the new role.
