Tory Lanez,31 sentenced to 10 years in jail. Today, Lanez was found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot after leaving Kylie Jenner’s house party in Los Angeles back in July of 2020.
In December, Lanez plead not guilty, but a jury found him guilty of three charges assault with a semi-automatic firearm, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. The hearing began Monday August 7th. and wrapped up Tuesday August 8th. Although Megan Thee Stallion did not show up to court, she did submit a lengthy letter for the court to read aloud. Meagan stated “I’ve not experienced a single day of peace”
Lanez’s legal team, said they plan to file appeals for both the sentence and conviction.
This is a very unfortunate situation, for everyone involved. Both, parties are definitely experiencing a lot of pain from this incident. My prayers go out to both artist as I can’t imagine the pain that either of the two are feeling during this difficult time.
