So The Hip Hop Conference is going to be a big deal for artist here in the city because they'll have a chance to get the information they've been asking about.The reason why this has to happen is because the artist in the city is very talented and at this point they are getting embraced by our listeners here, and we found this out by being in the clubs and the crowed started asking for more local music and not just asking it was more like a demand and that was words to a lot of djs ears because about 8 years ago if a dj would try to play anything from Detroit the dance floor could clear and it was causing problems between the artist and the djs. The artist felt like the djs wasn't supporting them but what the artist didn't understand is that the dj job is to keep the people having a great time in the club.But fast forwarding to now,you can't do any club without playing Detroit music and our artist are now getting more support outside the city and we can thank social media for that because the rest of the world can see how Detroit moves and they like what they see and hear coming from here. So it's only right that we bring in some labels here to have some one on one time with our artist and get to know them because it's time for them to touch the rest of the world and make money. But it's things we know they need to learn so we figured we'll do this free conference October 14th at the Imagine Theater in Novi Mi from 11am till 5pm and we'll have panel discussions and we're going to let the artist perform in front of the labels.now this is free but to attend you have to register at WJLBDETROIT.COM because seating is limited.
